Skippy
Hello, Skippy here. Mom has taken me on several trips lately. She says 'Skippy's a good little traveler'. I get to stop and explore as often as I need to (I don't know how she knows when I need to stop, but she does). I've learned to avoid Cactus, to stop when Mom says 'Stop' and to follow when she says 'Come'. When Mom wants me to eat, she tells me 'Eat your Kibbles' and I know just what she means.
We have been to many wonderful and sometimes scary places, but I'm not afraid and have enjoyed every minute. We went to Helen Hunt Falls with our friend Mary Ann. We ate lunch at a picnic area nearby, but I wouldn't go in the water because the mountain stream is much too cold.
We went to Monarch Pass and rode an overhead tram further up the mountain to 14,200 ft. I stood in Mom's lap and looked out the window. When we got to the top it was only 45 degrees outside and very windy. We also went to the Royal Gorge, but Mom wouldn't let me get too close to the edge. We could see a tour train that runs from Canon City up through the gorge and back again. We also found a park in Buena Vista where people were fishing in a small lake. Mom always carries her fishing gear with her so she fished and caught four nice sized rainbow trout while Mary Ann and I watched. 'Til next time, have a wonderful day. Love, Skippy
