Riley

Hi! My name is Riley and I'm a male Shih tzu born on 7/03/2004. I weigh about 13 pounds and I'm a pretty timid guy. I'll wag my tail at you if you are on the other side of the fencing but if you enter my pen, well, I'm just afraid of you. I lived all of my life in a cage without humans giving me any attention or care. When I was rescued I was doing fairly well with people but I really need people to take me out of the kennel situation because it causes me to be afraid. I really love my kennel mate and would do best in a family with a dog that already trusts the family. I can learn about trusting and how to be a dog from your family member. I must have a securely fenced yard and no young children in my new family. You see, I became scared while being groomed and I did bite the groomer. She has forgiven me but I need to be where it is calm and not scarey. As you'll see from the pictures, I have been groomed again and I was a good boy that time. It will be an awesome experience for you to help me overcome my fears and learn how to be a happy family member. Love, Riley MY10-12
